The American premier of The Song of the Dolphin (2008) for Cello and Vibraphone by the Bulgarian composer Vassil Kazandjiev was performed by Nickolai Kolarov- cello and Fernando Meza-vibraphone on the Seventh Balkan contemporary chamber music concert Balkanicus on April 22, 2011 in the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. This recording has been done 2 weeks later on the same stage.

Nickolai Kolarov performed first this piece in Juilliard School in April 2011. But the official American premier of the Burlesque(1979) for Cello and Piano by Ivan Spassov was on the Seventh Balkan contemporary chamber music concert Balkanicus on April 22, 2011 in the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities
